Please briefly summarize your life's journey, highlighting the significant chapters and pivotal moments.

My journey has centered heavily around motherhood - beginning with Early Motherhood at 16, and then needing to continue school and then working as an accountant to support my husband. Together with my husband, we built a medical practice, and later I embraced later motherhood, taking time away to be with my 8 children, homeschooling some of them. After my own health struggles, my husband and I pivoted our practice to offer proactive and preventative care via integrative cellular and regenerative medicine.

How have you made space for your passions, purpose, and wellbeing while navigating the demands of daily life?

My biggest passion is being in service - nurturing and helping people. I've always wanted to be a mom. Of course, I didn't think it would start at 16 or that I would continue to have children until I was in my 40s. I completed high school and college when my son was young. Supported my family while my husband finished medical school. When my first daughter turned 11, I began having more children. When they were old enough, I went back to work and focused on making a ripple effect through our community by helping people transform their lives with integrative regenerative and cellular medicine.

Was there a time when you felt disconnected from your purpose or struggled to find balance in your life? How did you navigate that season?

Perfect balance is an illusion. It's really about the different seasons of life and doing your best to have all the info you need to make a fully-informed choice.

Have you ever felt guilt about how you spend your time? How do you manage those feelings?

We all do the best with what we have at any given moment. There are seasons to life. As mentioned above, perfect balance is fake - it's really what you're choosing to prioritize in any given moment. You won't have everything balanced in your life. The point is making a conscious choice - setting up a mindset and protections to not be a victim of circumstance or reacting constantly. It's better if you look at hard situations circumspectly and make a choice. Nothing is free. There's always going to be fall out. When you start with this realistic baseline - you stop wasting time beating yourself up about not being in balance or always doing something else than what you are doing now or have done. Make a choice and stick with it, until it becomes clear you need to pivot. Before pivoting, take time to consider your situation and options from all sides. I spent a lot of time with regret from going back to work in 2011 - after having taken many years off to grow and raise my family. I loved staying home. Overall, I'm the happiest when I am in service - helping one of my children, sharing life-changing information and resources with people, contributing positively to someone's life. When I went back to work in 2011 to try to help the business evolve in a time of need, it took me away from my family and changed our lives in a major way. There were a lot of negatives, but also a lot of positives. The important factor? This was a choice that I consciously made. Though there were sacrifices from a family standpoint, my children are healthier and so are their kids because of the way we evolved to include insights from integrative regenerative and cellular medicine in our lives. We were able to increase our income to build a legacy business and help our family. We've also made a huge difference in people's lives. So, while my return to full-time work after 8 children created a lot of mom guilt - yet by focusing on the impact this could have for my children and for the patient community we have the privilege to work with, I'm able to understand that I am living my choice.
